Welcome to Smart Remodeling - Summer Edition

There’s a lot to be said about the kitchen. It’s the heart of the home.

  • The kitchen is the place where families gather for birthdays, holidays and weekend barbeques.
  • The kitchen is the room that adds value to the home. Realtors typically advise investing in kitchen updates and upgrades to retain the value of your home.
  • The kitchen is one of the top remodeling-request rooms. Over the last seven years, SGR has remodeled more kitchens than any other room from major overhaul to easy updates.

In this issue of Smart Remodeling, we’re providing an overview of kitchen remodeling styles and budgets to help homeowners see the possibilities and discover the style options.

Smart Remodeling - A Steve Gray Renovations publication for Indianapolis' homeowners
Steve Gray Renovations is proud to be one of the top remodeling firms in Indianapolis.

We love what we do and enjoy sharing remodeling insights via our website, this newsletter and videos. Everything we do is designed to help Indianapolis homeowners make smart remodeling choices and decisions.

That said, sometimes we have some cool video that gets left on our hard drive (in the old days that was the cutting room floor). It’s not necessarily educational, but it’s interesting stuff to watch during the remodeling process (from demoing a garage to seeing what’s behind drywall).

Look behind the scenes of recent remodeling jobs. I know you’ll think this stuff is as cool as we do!

New construction done right takes time
I am always amazed at how fast the old stuff comes down. Take a look.

Steve Gray Renovations partners with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Indianapolis

We donate reusable items to Habitat’s Restore. Things like cabinets, carpets, lighting and plumbing fixtures. See the truck being loaded here.

Yes we can!

Ever wonder if you could take out a support column in your home to open up a room? We use steel beams with wood and lag bolts for new support systems. See here how it all comes together before we put it into the remodeling job.

Masonry work is a craft

The guys who know how to do it well work hard and make it look easy when it’s done. Watch this video to see what I mean.
